  • How Do You Quench The Uncontrollable Fires Of The Credit Card Money Conflagration?

  • So, I've spent the whole year of 2008 up to now paying off debt and gaining control over finances, including finding ways to save money on all my bills, creating a reasonable budget for everything and everyone, coming up with creative methods that allow that budget to be followed through without too many people getting pissed off and gaining ways to monitor financial transactions close enough to accomplish everything.
HOWEVER, there is one problem to date: the credit card. We only use one credit card and I've managed to keep it in check (the balance down to $0 every period end date) for the past couple of months, but it always seems like the most painful. It rises almost uncontrollably with multiples of small payments, which forces me to give up larger things to buy during the month because I have to pay off the accumulated expenses.
Does anybody have a good solution?

  • if fees r the problem, call the comp & threaten 2 cancel the card if the fees keep piling up. if yer on a tight budget then say so when u call them. as 4 those reward miles, u can save enough $$$ 2 fly 1'st class which allows more room 4 reclining. in coach u may face problems w/ some 1 hitting the back of yer seat or some 1 zip-tying it so u cannot recline. additionally, u'll hafta put yer seat up if the pass. behind u wants 2 use trhe table. if u fly 1's class u dont have all these problems. in fact u'll want 2 get MORE bang 4 yer $$$. shop around if yer travelling. in fact u can research cheap 1st class seats by typing in2 yer browser, FLY 1st CLASS. there r many ways 2 save $$$ & even make $$$.

  • Quit cold turkey. Get a debit card and when your money is gone, stop spending. Im bi-polar and on the manic side, I spent massive amounts of money. Somebody stole my identity and I was forced to put an end to spending 14 years ago. I now only buy what I actually have money for. It's difficult but it can be done. I have no debt. I survive on cash. I had to change my lifestyle but I'm happier now because then I was living a false life. I don't have the friends who had more money than I. I don't travel as much either. I had a great time when I was living on credit, but now's better.

  • Hi,
I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

  • It "rises uncontrollably" because you keep using it. Put it away and pay cash. You'll be amazed how easy it is to control spending when you actually have to fork over the green stuff in real time.

  • Pay cash. I use a check for 90% of purchases.
