  • Is anyone else disappointed in the lack of action in the transfer market?

  • I expected Reading to make a strong push during the January transfer window and that has not happened. We've been linked over and over with folks but other than Bennett (which I consider a gamble), we've not connected on anything that says "wow". Granted, Reading is a team with limited resources at the present but we had $5M in transfer money left over from the summer and with relegation a very small possibility at this point, you would think we would make an investment to bring in a Premiership quality player to bolster either the backline or midfield. Given that Sidwell has still NOT signed a new contract despite the success in the EPL, I would have thought that we would have went after a potential replacement or at least someone that would give us more depth in the midfield.

  • I guess I am happy now that we picked up Halford from Colchester....a pretty versatile guy with size and loads of potential to be a great player in the EPL.

And how quickly you managed to sum up what it is to be a fan, heartbreak to elation, in two posts.;)
