I ftp into my xbox today and noticed there is a new H drive which wasn't there before what is this new drive/partition for ?This is actually a really good feature. Thanks to whoever implemented it. Normally I would have to use the Ndure toolset or boot with an X2 or X3 bios to get access to real C, but now it's easy and can be done within XBMC.
gav1577, as kreet says, this is your real C, most probably partition 8. The 'xb0xdash.xbe' is your unmodified msdashboard file. The shadowc.img will contain shadow C and the fillers are there to fill remaining space on real C and stop games from updating the dash and ruining the softmod.ok thanks:Dok thanks for the info guys i was curious to know just what it was for :DNot an issue - nkpatcher has a Virtual Drive feature that allows you to direct a partition mapping to a virtual partition based from a file, and create a different partition to point to the original drive. Before now, XBMC had hardcoded support only for F and G partitions - it now supports all partitions available.
(Your C drive is pointing to a file, probably something like cdrive.img, somewhere on your harddrive, your H drive is your Real C drive)I believe H is for any memory card plugged into the first controller porthmm thats strange i haven't got a memory card plugged in. also its only with this build i get this new drive/partition. inside this H partition are the following files and folders
Audio
dualboot
filler
filler
media
nkpatcher
rescuedash
xb0xdashdata.185ead00
xodash
eeprom.bin
shadowc.img
xb0xdash.xbe
xboxdash.xbe
went back to previous version and H was not to be seen it only appears with the latest tch3 ???known issue being looked into#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
