I've had my IS250 sport for about 2months now and i'm curious on when I should start checking to put more air in it? Also does anyone know the correct PSI?

I had owned an IS 350 and I just used the manufactures tire pressure recommendations. If you had your car a couple of months, you should have had a 1000 mile check that Lexus always does. If you bought this used, you need to get it checked every month. However, keep in mind that with the colder weather coming, the tire pressure will drop a few PSIs. This is normal and happens in the opposite during hot weather.
Get yourself a good tire pressure gauge and check it at least once a month. Major changes in tire pressure will affect the safety of your car. Please keep on this.

PS: Depending on what size your tires are, it will be higher or lower. Normally, sport wheels are normally lower profile tires and will have higher tire pressures. But, please check you door jam for the sticker on the tire pressures. Lower profile tires needs to be checked more carefully because it has less air in them. lol a guy who doesn't know what the tire pressure should be? it's on the tires. and a little light will come up and say low tire. it does on mine 07 model. but check it regularly if ya wanna. but if it slips your mind the light will remind you. Different tires take different psi, should tell you right on the side of the tire. Dont guess the pressure, use a meeter, over/under inflation will wear the tire faster.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
