  • I would like some comments and some citicism on these photos. And also some more ideas of what to shoot. I tend to like shooting macro but find myself shooting the same things and just want a few ideas to spice up my portfolio. Your comments would be appreciated...

  • They're very good! You have a great eye for composition. The only suggestion I can offer is you might want to try using a fill light on some of your outdoor photos (or try using a flash) to brighten up the shadowed side of your subjects.

    "Louie Down On the Beach" could have used a little reflected light on his shadowed side, and "Daydreaming"'s face wouldn't be so flat and gray if you had used a fill light to brighten her face a little.

    A fill light can simply be a large piece of white poster board that reflects the natural light you're working with and will give just enough light to the subject, without destroying the natural shadows (unlike a flash).
