  • We recently upgraded from 3.6.8 to 3.7 RC1. After adding new RSS feeds, and attempting to run them, we get "XML Error: mismatched tag at line 5" for the new feeds added. The old feeds seem to work, but the new feeds aren't getting fetched.

  • I am also getting errors when trying to use the RSS Feed Manager with google news. When I leave the default option for the body, it does not convert the HTML to BB Code despite that option being selected. The post shows up with HTML tags. Furthermore, if I change it to {feed:contet:encoded}, it does not post anything other than the More.. link.

    I will try some other feeds to see if this is just google or all feeds. Right now, there appears to be some sort of processing error.


  • went into google news (news.google.com) and did a search for ""infected mushroom" , a search for content relevant to our forums. We right-clicked the RSS indicator in google news that resulted in that search (this link (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&um=1&tab=wn&q=%22infected+mushroom%22&ie=UTF-8&output=rss&ned=:ePkh8BM9E0LYwQq0w4AJRJUYsAgxQCxhQLHBSKD681929 eLqbcvO6U12dL_vDAAv3A5g)), then added it to the RSS feeds, like the previous ones we did pre 6.7RC1. We inputted all the fields like normal. Just getting the errors on the newly added feeds since we upgraded to 6.7 RC1.


  • I can't recreate this with the feed that you linked to. Make sure that you are copying and pasting the entire URL.

    For the options, the only thing I changed was the title and the forum to put it into.

    That worked. I guess I was cutting & pasting the wrong RSS URL from google news. Everything works fine now :)
